Carrera is the product of many generations of black and
grey alpacas. His bright black fleece exhibits high
frequency crimp and uniformity. He began settling
females in 2009 and has several confirmed pregnancies.
His well-known sire won many first and second ribbons
in large Midwest shows. He passed on his bright black
fiber and bold crimpy locks to his son.
Carrera's awards include:
2008: 1st and Reserve Champion at AWE.

Scion of a distinguished family: Champ is the son of
Sierra, a full sister to Microsoft. At 9 years of age, she
still demonstrated consistency and uniformity in her
fleece with her numbers varying little over the years.
His sire is known for both crimp and density. Among his
many awards:
Male Supreme Champion, International Alpaca Odyssey;
Reserve Champion, AWE;
Champion, AOBA.
Get of Sire, CABA.
Get of Sire, AOBA 2010, beating El Nino.
Nautilus sons sold for $100,000 and $205,000 at the
Parade of Champions auction; a daughter sold for
$90,000. A donated breeding brought $19,000.
Champ's extremely dense fleece radiates brightness,
beautiful character, and a high frequency 10 crimps per
inch. His histogram reads 19.3 microns, SD 4.5, CF 97.6.
His awards include Reserve Champion Fleece, Heart of
the Valley, and a 4th (of 10) in the halter show; the
judge called him one of the top two in the class, saying
"he caught my eye right away," but marking him down
for being "too pudgy!"

Show, and AFCNA national Fleece Show:
